Night Kitchen is a bustling Eastern Mediterranean neo‑bistro and late‑night bar in Amsterdam’s vibrant Oud‑West.
Our signature ‘Dinner with Friends’ format invites guests to relax, share, and enjoy chef‑curated shared-dining plates inspired by Levantine flavors—celebrated for its gezellig atmosphere, personal service, and social dining experience. Perfect for intimate dinners, group gatherings, or late-night meals in a lively, cozy setting.

Our Story: From Mediterranean Roots to Amsterdam
Night Kitchen was born from a simple belief: eating out should be more than just dining. It should be an experience that brings people together.
The first Night Kitchen opened in 2012 in the Neve Tzedek neighborhood, quickly becoming one of the most beloved dining experiences in the Middle East. The concept was deceptively simple: let us host you. No complicated menus, no decision fatigue—just great hospitality, exceptional food, and genuine connection.
In 2017, Night Kitchen Berlin brought this energy into a stunning converted stable-house in Mitte, where the format proved that great hospitality transcends borders.
When Night Kitchen Amsterdam opened in July 2021 on Jan Pieter Heijestraat in Oud-West, we knew we'd found our home. Amsterdam's neighborhood culture, its appreciation for quality and authenticity, and its late-night energy made it the perfect fit for our Mediterranean approach to dining.

Our "Dinner with Friends" menu accommodates virtually any dietary restriction: vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, pescatarian, or any combination. We've built our kitchen around flexibility because we believe everyone deserves a seat at the table.
For groups of 7 or more, we exclusively offer the Dinner with Friends format to ensure the best possible dining experience for larger parties.

IWant the complete "let us host you" experience? Add our drinking arrangement: 2.5 hours of carefully selected open wines and draft beers paired to your menu.
Not drinking alcohol? We've got you covered with craft mocktails, natural kombucha, premium 0.0% options, and house-made sodas. Because great hospitality means making sure everyone's glass has something special in it.

Late-Night Dining in Amsterdam Oud-West
While most Amsterdam restaurants close their kitchens by 22:00, we're just getting started. Our kitchen stays open until 23:00, and our bar keeps going well past midnight.
This matters because the best conversations don't happen on a schedule. That third cocktail. The extra round of snacks. The night that turns into that night. We're built for it.

Our restaurant offer a variety of sitting situations, high tables, low tables, bar sitting, shared dinning tables, all equipped with very comfortable chairs with back leaning, but if you have a preference on a specific sitting position please let us know and we’ll do our best to make it happen.
